...and then he praised Hannibal Lecter again during his meeting with House Republicans today. Here's the headline in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Donald Trump calls Milwaukee 'a horrible city' weeks before RNC comes to town.

Donald Trump on Thursday called Milwaukee — where in a little over a month he will be declared the Republican nominee for president — a "horrible city."

Trump made the comment to House Republicans in a morning meeting on Capitol Hill to discuss campaign strategies, among other GOP priorities, ahead of the 2024 election. His remarks came five days before he is scheduled to visit Racine for a campaign rally.

Republicans offered at least five "explanations":

1. Didn't say it that way.

2. The convicted felon was talking about crime and election issues.

3. The convicted felon was saying he “felt we need to do better in urban centers around the country.”

4. The convicted felon was saying republicans “didn’t do very well in Milwaukee.”

5. A convention spokeswoman said the convicted felon was referring to an ongoing debate over where protests should be allowed to occur in the city during the July convention.

Milwaukee's mayor responded: "Donald Trump was talking about things that he thinks are horrible. All of us lived through his presidency, so right back at you, buddy."

President Biden simply said: "I happen to love Milwaukee."

Reportedly, the convicted felon also talked about the late great Hannibal Lector again. Hasn't anyone told him Lector's a fictional character?

Well, as Danny Masterson (isn't he a rapist, too, like convicted felon Donald Trump?) yells at the close of the beginning of each episode of "that '70s Show": "Hello, Wisconsin!"

He was referring to their crimes rates evidently, by Fake News Gonna Fake News.

Add this to the pile of disinformation promoted by “mainstream” and “credible” press outlets who are held “accountable” for what they say.

Dope1: He was referring to their crimes rates evidently, by Fake News Gonna Fake News.

As usual, you're misinformed.

Republicans who were in the room at the time scrambled to undo his bizarre comment, offering several different explanations:

U.S. Reps. Glenn Grothman of the 6th Congressional District, Scott Fitzgerald of the 5th Congressional District and Tom Tiffany of the 7th Congressional District all told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Trump made the comments when speaking about the upcoming election.

Grothman said Trump “was concerned about the election in Milwaukee” and said he thought Trump “felt we need to do better in urban centers around the country.” He suggested Trump had concerns that Republicans “didn’t do very well in Milwaukee.”

U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden said Dementia Don was "specifically referring to the CRIME RATE in Milwaukee."

Republican U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, who represents the state's 1st Congressional District, said Trump never mentioned anything about Milwaukee but later changed his story, saying Dementia Don "was talking about specific issues in" Milwaukee."

A convention spokeswoman told a reporter from CBS58 Dementia Don was referring to an ongoing debate over where protests should be allowed to occur in the city during the July convention.

The simple fact that republicans cannot get on the same page and get their story straight is pretty clear evidence Dementia Don called Milwaukee 'a horrible city.'

Billboards have already gone up in the city and surrounding areas with Dementia Don's mug on them and his quote as reported by The Milwaukee Sentinel: "Milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city": https://www.axios.com/2024/06/14/trump-milwaukee-b...

And the Biden-Harris campaign is selling Wisconsin branded merchandise (t-shirts, stickers, and beer coolers) that says "(NOT) A Horrible City" and "I Love Milwaukee" with a mug of beer where the love/heart usually goes: https://shop.joebiden.com/not-a-horrible-city/?utm...

Sorry, but you're still in a cult.

Was there a recording?

No? The media doesn’t have the greatest track record of not lying.

You’re still on team cray-cray.

And how do we know this?

That's what people in the room said the context was.

Are you reading his mind these days?

You're aware that threads like this (and there are many of them) are doing exactly that, right?

After jumping the shark, Dope offers nothing but consistently trite, cliche-ridden tripe.

Trump's word salads are like the the religious cult storybooks; so vague and full of conflicting messages that any sub-cult can create equally (in)valid interpretations.
