If I recall correctly, I remember first seeing video destined for a documentary about January 6 aired on MSNBC over two years ago, amid the House investigations into January 6 that were held during 2022. Or maybe it was in sync with some of the state or federal indictments being issued. The footage showed conversations Roger Stone was having with soon-to-be insurrectionists the morning of January 6 before the assembly at the Elipse. It also showed earlier footage immediately after the election with Roger Stone dictating a draft of a memo over a cell phone to someone in Trump's campaign team or Administration on how to initiate the court motions across multiple states to begin creating the illusion of chaos needed to sow doubt among members of state legislatures and eventually the public.

It appears that content has been finalized into the documentary film Homegrown. The movie was created by American producers and made its international debut at the Venice Film Festival on August 30, 2024. It made its American debut at the Camden Film Festival in Maine between September 12-15, 2024. It is slated to appear at the Hamptons International Film Festival in New York between October 4 and 14 of 2024.

Clearly, I must be the only one struggling with questions about this movie. Questions like:

1) If the time covered by the movie ended by Trump's unartful exit from power on January 20, 2021, why did it take the producer so long to finalize such an obviously important work?

2) If the producer wants the movie to have maximum impact and (selfishly) maximum effect on his bank account, why wasn't this movie released at a time when more people could see it prior to entering "voting month."?

I can find no signs of where this movie might appear after the Hamptons festival. Are the producers more interested in attending film festivals and vying for snooty awards and Oscar nods by releasing it during the busy fall movie season? Or are they interested in getting the film OUT THERE and letting Americans see an unfiltered view into the mindset and Floyd R Turbo ignorance of those who participated in the insurrection BEFORE voting in the next Presidential election?

It feels like if this movie makes it at all to theatres or streaming avenues on a widespread basis, it may only do so AFTER the election where it will be of exactly ZERO value in influencing the public debate over this fiasco. I can imagine the trailer for a big promotional push in December. "THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY. See what your fate has in store by reliving January 6 from the inside..."

A lotta good that will do us after November 5.
