Republicans have challenged overseas voting in at least three battleground states...

In Pennsylvania, six Republican lawmakers from the state who did not vote to certify President Biden’s 2020 election filed a lawsuit last week against the state. (N Carolina and Michigan too)

The GOP lawmakers took issue with state laws that do not require voter identification or eligibility and asked to stop the ballot counting until identities are verified.

They wait till now to file these suits and want to stop the count. I imagine these are the few dual citizenship folks - Parents American, born overseas. I met a Canadian with dual citizenship the other day. He's a youngster at 72. :) Many mail in votes do not require voter ID. Some people have to choose which country at 18. We ought to eliminate hijinx within four months of the Federal election. Just say all registration purges, etc., must be done by then or it waits till after the election. I remember when one of the voter suppression researchers died and the wife gave the computer to the press. Lotsa clever ideas to suppress votes.

Since military folk are overseas, what do they hope to gain? The military is heavy Republican.

The concerns come after Republicans in the 2020 election accused Democrats of using mail-in and absentee voting as a vehicle for election fraud.

Former President Trump himself waded into the overseas voting fight when he said last month that Democrats were working to “get millions of votes from Americans living overseas.”

“Actually, they are getting ready to CHEAT!” he posted on Truth Social.
