The fired bullet casing contained the inscription, "Notices bulges OwO what's this?"
An unfired bullet casing read, "Hey fascist, catch!"
And a second unfired casing read, "oh bella ciao, bella cio, bella ciao, ciao, ciao."
A third unfired casing said, "If you read this, you are gay."

Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read
‘Hey, fascist, exclamation point, catch, exclamation point.
Up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols,’

Clearly the shooter thought Kirk was a fascist. And provides a motive.

Still not sure what "Notices bulges OwO what's this?" means. It's meme from online gaming apparently.

Ok, here's more on the meaning of "Notices bulges OwO what's this?":

Notices Bulge / OwO What's This? is a copypasta parodying both furries and online roleplay subcultures, which is typically used online as a method of trolling. The meme originated from these communities around early 2013 and spread online over the following years. In mid-September 2025, following the murder of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, the alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, notably included the meme in an inscription on a bullet casing found during the investigation, causing the meme to spike in virality.

The phrase originated from online roleplay within the furry community. It and phrases similar to it were used regularly, as well as emoticons such as "OwO."

The earliest known usage of the phrase (below) was on January 6th, 2013, on DeviantArt by user CookiMuffinFaic. It received over 130 views, three comments and three downloads in about three and a half years.[4]

Oh, and "OwO" might also be greek for Thoth, but maybe not:

Thoth (from Koine Greek: Θώθ Thṓth, borrowed from Coptic: Ⲑⲱⲟⲩⲧ Thōout, Ancient Egyptian: Ḏḥwtj, the reflex of ḏḥwtj "[he] is like the ibis") is an ancient Egyptian deity. In art, he was often depicted as a man with the head of an ibis or a baboon, animals sacred to him. His feminine counterpart is Seshat, and his wife is Maat.[2] He is the god of the Moon, wisdom, knowledge, writing, hieroglyphs, science, magic, art and judgment.

He is the god of the Moon, wisdom, knowledge, writing, hieroglyphs, science, magic, art and judgment.

That is the reason the right hates him with an unbridled passion.

He represents everything the rightwing leadership is actively trying to eradicate: wisdom, knowledge, writing, hieroglyphs, science, magic, art and judgment. They are the basis of independent thinking and making your own choices--which destroys the right.
