The whole concept of an American family having a nice big yard, having a few kids, BBQ'ing steaks - that scene right there annoys them. If there's a wedded Dad and Mom? Totally CounterCulture now.

Yup.
They want you to live in government-mandated housing units where the thermostat gets controlled by the utility company. That way when there's the inevitable brownout due to the windmils not working they can turn down/off your power.

Then there's your food. libs love the idea of the proles eating bugs for some reason.
