“The Widespread Demise of the Democrats Continues As the Party Is Rocked by Bill Gates Pulling His Funding”

SNIP
“It has been fully recognized since the November election that the Democratic Party has been hobbled more than a three-legged gelding, but things refuse to improve for that lot. Throughout this year, the party has seen its prospects withering across the board, whether it is in internal operations, public approval, voting efforts, fundraising, or media outreach.”

https://redstate.com/bradslager/2025/08/29/the-wid...

So sad, too bad. Democrats were once the champion for the blue color working class,
now thy are the Party fighting for LGBDQ, Trans, Al Sharpton and his DEI policies and
illegal criminal aliens.

“The Widespread Demise of the Democrats Continues As the Party Is Rocked by Bill Gates Pulling His Funding”

Gosh, I sure hope the widespread demise of the Democrats continues like happened last week in the deep red state of Iowa where the Democrat had a 22 point swing from just 9 months ago, winning the election. And just to add a cherry to the top of the ice cream sundae, it broke the Republican super majority.

In. Deep. Red. Iowa.

Perhaps Trump’s policies aren’t quite as popular as you think.

Your ten dollar donation won’t help much.

To no one in particular…

DJT’s current average approval rating at Real Clear Politics is 45.8, at Decision Desk HQ 45.5, and at Nate Silver’s ‘Bulletin’ 44.1. Given that he received 49.8% of the vote in November, this prob means that *on balance*, he’s lost a little bit of support, doesn’t it?

1poorkid ordered a keyboard for work. DSL refused to deliver it until a "duty fee" was paid. This is the first time we've ever encountered this. She is blaming the tariffs. I don't know if they are the tariffs at work, but we never had this happen before.

In which case, it very much is a direct tax on consumers. In effect, a sales tax.

If this is happening a lot now, I'm sure the Felon's policies are becoming not-popular.

I thought I posted this here a few days ago. If I didn't, here it is. If I did, sorry for repeating myself.
---------

Due to Trump's change in the “de minimis,” rules on goods coming into the US shippers are stopping shipments until Customs can clarify who is paying the duties. What a mess!

There isn't demise.

As I had said on TMF decades ago - you people are now seeing your tribes and castes start to show themselves. There's NeoCons, WallStreetRepubs, TrailerParkRepubs. There's 401K WhiteLiberals, blacks, hispanics,,,,and all the little sects within those groups and others i'm not even mentioning yet.

ALSO.....

Outside of 401Kville as i've said - people are just not content. Not now. Not under BIden. or Obama. Or W.

Culture has gone to hell. Old norms and traditions and family household structures, ditto.

Point being, they are unhappy and worried REGARDLESS who is President or running Congress. That is how despite super economic numbers. Biden's poll numbers didn't match said economic numbers.

You people will have these ping pong games between parties because unhappy people, vote out incumbents.

And just imagine, big huge reforms need to take place in. 51-49 country :)

Enjoy it. Wake me up when someone wants to compromise, or look in the mirror. I have done so repeatedly.

Kamala got more money from many big businesses versus trump.

Democrats are the party of the rich and the corporations. Only for now, the corporations are playing nice with Trump but they'll revert.'

again, wall street gave more to Kamala than Trump.

Yes, I made an offer on a used hat from Japan, explaining to them that the tariff mess made it X the unknown what I would pay and I was willing to shoulder X with the discount.

1poorkid was ordering an ergonomic keyboard. Her company paid for it, but the duty caught her by surprise. She paid it, and will have to see if the company is going to reimburse that. They should, but you never know with companies.

...blacks, hispanics...

To be fair, those aren't political divisions. They are actual ethnic groups. Which, of course, can become tribal. But I think they are distinct from other political divisions. Also, within their ethnicities you will find black Reps, black Dems, black Wall Street people, Latino Reps, etc, etc.

Point being, they are unhappy and worried REGARDLESS who is President or running Congress.

True. However, different groups of people were unhappy when Obama was in charge versus Dubya, or the Felon versus Biden. There was unhappiness, but it was not the same folks each time (generally).

Democrats are the party of the rich and the corporations.

I don't think that follows. "Big business" recognized that the Felon was a train wreck. I'm sure they saw Kamala as a potential threat (e.g. raising taxes on corporations), but the Felon was perceived as worse.

But, yeah...the senators from both parties are on the corporate dole. Historically, Reps suckle harder on that teet.

The fellow accepted my offer, so I get to see what snafus I run into. The new hats are too expensive, but, for all I know by the end it will cost just as much. :)

Yes. actual ethnic groups.

BUT, whether it's an ethnicity, or sects WITHIN ethnicities - (whites also) ---they are slowly splintering not just like usual, but into sects and castes. We're a 200 year old nation - we have no clue how this works. Give it time.....it's in progress.

On the groups of people happy -- again I agree -- in a tribal society, when one side's Mufti is in charge, they are prone to feeling better. or SAYING their feel better.

But when all bets are off and they feel like they're in deep shit - they go for the other guy, at least enough do for an electoral win.

Just ask Obama. Then Trump. Then Biden. Then Trump.

Going forward. culture and socioeconomics dictate that the non 401K'ers - of all stripes will not be remotely content.

I've long said that the new American Dream is "I made my bills this month and i didn't get shot at".

Keep watching.

Even some in the media have started to report this.

OnePoorGuy- as long as even a large minority of citizens feel this way...... it's tough to move forward in a quality way.

Hence i've said - 2 more election cycles to go, to get this right.

But i'm npt optimistic.

As i used to say on TMF: America will be a first world country with loud, visible, structural 3rd world traits.

It's coming.

Some of it is here where even Sheeple can see it.

"Democrats are the party of the rich and the corporations."

The person you are responding to likes to stay stupid shit in order to be provocative and elicit a reaction. Some of the shit is so stupid that I am sure even he doesn't believe all of it.

Like his statement that "Democrats are the party of the rich and the corporations."

Anyone who has an IQ greater than gravel and has been paying the least bit of attention the past few decades knows that is utterly ridiculous. Go back to the past two and a half decades and see who the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed for each presidential election. Then go and see which party has consistently pushed to have big money in politics (especially anonymous big money). That would be the Republican Party.

This is where he responds with "Soros" because he is triggered and that is the boogeyman that has been pounded into his head. He also doesn't understand that a single data point doesn't create a big picture.
