Our first lockdown was after the male partner of a Chinese couple died of Covid in Manila. They had attended the Sinulog Festival in Cebu and stopped by Dumaguete, where we were, for a night, then off to Manila. Sinulog was on Jan 21. So he probably died on Jan 24, 25th. The word had gotten out by then. We were likely told to stay home on the 26-27th.
