So Biden is set to sign an Executive Order on the border this week.
It is rumored to allow 4,000 asylees in per day, 28,000 per week, and then purports to "close" the border after that.
Senator Kennedy summed it up as only he can:

"For three years, we have watched President Biden push on a door that has been clearly marked pull," Sen. Kennedy assessed. "He's mismanaged Congress, COVID, the national debt, the economy, inflation, crime, Afghanistan, Iran, the war in Gaza, the war in Ukraine, and now of course the border."
Through all these crises of Biden's creation, Sen. Kennedy said that "every time" he thinks "the president has hit rock bottom, he has managed to find a shovel and continue to dig."Amen.
