James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, was indicted on Tuesday over a social media post, signaling a renewed effort by the Justice Department to pursue charges against him after its bid last year ended in failure.

A federal grand jury in North Carolina charged Mr. Comey with making a threat against the president and transmitting a threat across state lines, according to court records. —NYT

I want to know how the hell did they get 12(?) people on a grand jury to find probable cause. Must have been a really biased bunch, or else the one-sided evidence was maliciously misleading.

My read is that there is no effin' way Comey will be convicted, and he'll get every cent of his legal fees refunded and perhaps he'll even awarded damages based on specious slanderous accusations causing him reputational harm.

Sea shells are inherently criminal. Especially clam shells....and don't get me started on mollusks.

there is still a lot of red in eastern\rural NC.
not that there is any shortage of these regions, but how many places can this type of grand jury indictment be attempted?

It was less than 14 yrs old and "clamped down HARD" where it would be most effective.

I expect that Todd Blanche is looking at a posthumous indictment of Mary Anning.
