This has been going on for a while, but this latest dump is a large change. The Biden administration has been quietly job numbers downward in the months following a Big Huge Release of news:

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/initial-us-emp...

The government quietly erased 439,000 jobs through November 2023, a closer look at the numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows.

That means its initial jobs results were inflated by 439,000 positions, and the job market is not as healthy as the government suggests.

The "job creation" numbers cited by some include a lot of people returning to work from COVID when blue state governors issued long lasting and restrictive lockdowns. So no, that doesn't count.

What else is in the numbers?

Again, the government sector in December ranked high in job creation. It created 52,000 jobs in the final month of 2023. As FOX Business's Edward Lawrence points out, that brings the three-month average of jobs created by the government sector to 50,000 per month.

If your idea of creating jobs is hiring more government people...then you're not very good at creating jobs.

This whole scheme isn't new:
In August 2023, the BLS issued a preliminary revision for the 12 months through March 2023 showing U.S. job growth for that period was overstated by a net 306,000 jobs. That’s 25,500 fewer jobs on average per month in that period.

Private sector job creation also was adjusted lower by 358,000 in that period, while government payrolls were revised by an increase of 52,000.

Add BLS to the list of government agencies the democrats have corrupted beyond usefulness.

Dope1: Add BLS to the list of government agencies the democrats have corrupted beyond usefulness.

Of course.

Jobs numbers are revised up and down every month; always have been, always will be. If it makes you feel good to peel off a half million jobs from Biden's numbers without substantiating it through links and data, go for it.

But here's the bottom line: Trump lost nearly 3 million jobs in four years, the worst jobs record of any president in U.S. history and Biden has created between 13 and 14 million jobs in just three years.

That eats Trumpers up inside, so, hey, the BLS must be corrupt and giving us funny numbers.

Sure.

Also, from your link: "Time to stop trading off the payroll data," tweeted David Rosenberg, founder of Rosenberg Research Associates. By his calculations, he says the downward revisions came to "an epic 443,000,"...

Jeebus. Fox "News" is using tweets as its source for data.

And it's odd, but I don't see "his calculations" anywhere; no data or links to data anywhere.

As for wunderkind economist David Rosenberg, he said the odds of a "hard" recession were 99% starting in the second quarter of 2023 and that there was "a 1% probability of a soft landing."

He wrongly predicted that housing prices would decline in 2022.

He wrongly predicted that bond yields would go down.

He was just plain wrong in his predictions in 2020 and 2021.

But hey, gas prices are coming down, food prices are coming down, businesses are still hiring, and the stock market is still near an all-time high so the numbers must be funny.

Trump has turned you people into nitwits.

But you go ahead and back that rapist who walked off with vital top secret intelligence documents, tried to remain in power in a coup, still makes fun of the late senator John McCain's war wounds -- despite his own draft dodging -- and whose own Defense Secretary, Mark Esper, says is a danger to democracy.

rom Biden's numbers without substantiating it through links and data, go for it.

It's almost like an auto-response from a bad chat bot.

Go fetch your own rocks.

The rest of your post is merely a stream of invective aimed in random directions. Tell me: how many dogs and old people do you kick on your way to get coffee every day? All this repressed rage has to go somewhere.
