Today, Trump attacked Cheney and others who investigated the events of January 6, 2021, as “dishonest Thugs.”

Liz Cheney is one of the last non-MAGA republicans out there. I may not agree with most of her policy stances (those that I'm aware of), but I can respect her as a serious politician who still thinks the "norms" of rule-of-law (among other things) should apply. Drinking doesn't explain the obsessive behavior it has; I'm not sure what substance it abuses but I don't think even the meanest drunks act like it does.
