The temporary housing structures are being provided by Family Life Center, a non-profit specialized in offering housing for the homeless in partnership with Continest, a Hungary-based organization whose home office is in Long Beach, California. Family Life Center purchased 60 pop-up homes and these units can house up to 120 individuals or 34 families. Family Life Center plans to purchase at least another 200 of these homes.
Family Life Center is buying these temporary housing units, Hungary is not giving them away. The units are being flown in
on a NATO plane, not by Hungary.
A company called RevoluSun from Oahu donated solar panels and batteries to power the units.
