In a move to hanstring Ukraine and deliver the soft under belly to Putin"

The US has cut off intelligence-sharing with Kyiv in a move that could seriously hamper the Ukrainian military’s ability to target Russian forces, according to officials familiar with the matter.
The move follows the decision on Monday by the Trump administration to suspend military aid deliveries to Ukraine and comes after a dramatic breakdown in relations between the US president and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
US intelligence co-operation has been essential for Ukraine’s ability to identify and strike Russian military targets.
Three officials familiar with the decision confirmed that Washington had frozen intelligence channels with Kyiv.
While the US has also formally blocked its allies from sharing US intelligence with Ukraine, two officials said that recipients with assets inside the country were likely to continue passing on relevant intelligence to Kyiv. But that would not apply to time-sensitive and high-value intelligence, such as that needed for Ukraine to conduct precision strikes on moveable Russian targets.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Five Eyes, the WWII borne coalition of the US, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and their intelligence sharing, soon becomes the Four Eyes. Why anyone would trust us, or partner with us, at this point would be surprising. We've abandoned Ukraine, and are putting tariffs on our allies.

Leaving us significantly more blind, them somewhat more blind, the synergy that happens in intelligence sharing between partners evaporated, and yet another step down this ridiculous path of apparently thinking we can or should do everything on our own.

Agreed. Anything they tell us could (and likely would) end up on Putin's desk. I would go so far as to say that it would be foolish to share any intelligence with us for at least the next four years. So if an attack on us is imminent, I wouldn't alert us if I were -for example- MI6. That could compromise the source if it was leaked to Putin (or anyone else).

Trump will do whatever he can to help his buddy Putin. Disgusting.

this intelligence infrastructure , now setup over ~3 years, runs with minimal cost.
if it wasnt obvious, the white house kabuki theater was all to aid putin, had little to do with funding, and zero to do with peace.

the american defense-industrial sector has reaped much of the current benefit by the depletion of obsolete stock, but they may miss out on some future contracts from EU countries that would now much rather buy locally. (or at least from south korea, top of the heap in performance/price)
however, this is most easily fixed via MAGA corruption...middlemen lobbyists no longer needed.

various excellent interweb posts updating 5 eyes : they have sharply moved from trump 1.0 fear of braggadocio exposure of shared secrets to outright kompramat. the 'call' is not just coming from inside the house, its from the oval office.
since its all public, technically trump isnt a 'mole', so let's go with muskrat.
