Interesting interview with Vicki Hollub the CEO of OXY. She talks a little about carbon capture, what it was like to cold call Buffett for money, and a host of other interesting topics.

The one thing that caught my attention was that she talked about how she hates analyst calls. That means she might be open to OXY being bought out and being taken private.

The one thing that caught my attention was that she talked about how she hates analyst calls.

So why does she do them ? Earning calls are not compulsory. Companies just need to make timely 10Q filings with SEC.

Buffett and a few other CEOs don't hold analysts calls or provide any guidance.
