“The Port Strike Has Been Averted and the Unions Are Giving All the Credit to Trump: ‘Champion of the Working Men and Women of This Country’”

The union workers who keep America’s ports running were on the verge of a massive strike that would have had severe effects on America’s supply chain but the issues have been resolved and the strike was averted.

In a massive blow to Democrats and the Biden administration, the leaders of the unions involved in the dispute are giving all of the credit to President-Elect Donald Trump.

Once again, Trump is being hailed as the best friend of working people in the United States.”

President Joe Biden had refused calls by many of the nation’s business groups to intervene and order the ILA members back to work during the October strike.

The felon Trump talks about supporting workers. In actuality, he’s screwed workers his entire life.

Biden’s actions standing up to business groups helped to force a compromise.

Actions speak louder than words.

Sez you, but Harold J. Daggett, international President of the ILA said,

“The ILA Leader said his union now regards President Donald Trump as one of the greatest friends of Organized Labor and champion of the working men and women of this country.

“He’s a hero to our ILA union and members,” said the ILA leader. “President Trump gets full credit for our successful tentative Master Contract agreement,” said ILA President Daggett.”

Biden’s actions standing up to business groups helped to force a compromise.

Nowhere did Daggett even mentioned the has been useless Biden.

Better than the sedatives fed to dementia Biden all day and night long.

I was sort of hoping the strike WOULD happen - I wanted 401K'ers to really see what happens to their stupid ass so called investments then.

Not to mention bigger raises would be more inflation.

BUT on the flip side it is nice to see Trump clean up a Democrat boobie trap.

Needs to be finalized, it looks like Biden successfully pressured employers to increased wages, so what was left was the agreement on automation. Automation has the green light in exchange for promises of additional jobs added as automation takes over. I can't blame the Union guy for buttering up Trump.

SNIP A person briefed on the talks, who was not authorized to speak publicly, said the International Longshoremen’s Association had guarantees that jobs would be added when automated equipment was added at a port. The employers, this person said, got language in the contract that will give them a more straightforward path for introducing automated machinery...

...In October, the International Longshoremen’s Union and the maritime alliance agreed that wages would increase to $63 an hour, from $39, by the end of the new contract. With shift work and overtime, the pay of many longshoremen at some East Coast ports could rise to well over $200,000 a year. (At the Port of New York and New Jersey, nearly 60 percent of the longshoremen made $100,000 to $200,000 in the 12 months through June 2020, the latest figures available, according to data from an agency that helped oversee the port.)

The wage rose after President Biden applied pressure on the employers to increase their offer. SNIP

Let's see what the additional jobs language is in that contract.
