Not that Prof. Stanley is wrong, but - by that very definition - there's more than a whiff of fascism in the "narratives" about red state residents spun by left-leaning media and other "elites".

"We're right, you're wrong and dangerous and need to be put away / re-educated" is a mild description of the devolution coming from both sides.

Bothsidesism when we're gonna try a President for an attempted self coup?

While I'm sure we can convict Trump, I'm not sure at all that will change anything. We could still go authoritarian. Other countries are watching and making plans for if we go that route.
