Hunter Biden's laptop, widely claimed to be RUSSIANDISINFORMATION by the media and others, took center state in Hunter's trial yesterday. Here's what the FBI said about it:
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/liv...The witness, FBI agent Erika Jensen, testified about the authenticity of Hunter Biden's laptop, which has been the subject of rumors and speculation online for years. Jensen said the laptop contained evidence of Hunter Biden's drug and gun purchase. And much more. But the media, big Tech and the democrat party (there's little daylight between all 3) lied, covered up and suppressed the story, none more egregiously than the execrable Lesley Stahl in the famous 60 Minutes interview with Trump.
Glenn Greenwald:
https://x.com/ggreenwald/status/179846713961295092...To prosecute Hunter Biden, FBI has to say -- and has testified -- that his laptop and every document on it is authentic and unaltered.
Not one media outlet who spread the CIA's bullshit "Russian disinformation" lie has retracted it or apologized:No matter how much you hate the media, it's not enough.

Glenn Greenwald is lying.
On cross-examination yesterday, FBI special agent Erika Jensen admitted the FBI could not verify the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop and
"conceded there was no way to verify whether it had been altered."Maybe getting your "facts" and "news" from Xhitter is a bad idea, huh?

Here's what the FBI said about it:
Huh? All of a sudden you now believe what the FBI says?
Be careful. Slippery slope.
Next thing you know you’ll be telling us Joe Biden won a free and fair election and that Trump is an insurrectionist.

LOL. So now you're going with the laptop being altered?
Good luck with that.
During cross-examination defense attorney Abbe Lowell asked Jensen, "Did you find out whether any of the files had been tampered with?" Jensen replied, "I did not." In redirect, which is when the prosecution can question their witness after cross-examination, the prosecution asked if Jensen had seen any evidence of tampering, to which Jensen replied "No."https://www.newsweek.com/hunter-biden-laptop-testi...Try again.

And this is in line with what we've been reading. And the chain of custody is dubious.

Umm, she never actually looked for any evidence of tampering.
Kinda' hard to find something when you're not actually looking for it.
Erika Jensen testified that she did not do an analysis to find out whether any of the files on the laptop attributed to Hunter Biden, “had been tampered with, added to, or subtracted?”
I am shocked, shocked I tell you, that Jensen did not find any evidence of tampering when she did not look for any evidence of tampering.

Try again.Apparently, your news sources aren’t telling you the whole truth.
From the link below:
Prosecutors asked whether there was any evidence to suggest the laptop had been tampered with, and Jensen said no. But under questioning from Lowell, she conceded there was no way to verify whether it had been altered. The FBI agent couldn’t find evidence the laptop had been tampered NOR could she verify whether it had been altered. So it
may have been altered, but she had no way to verify whether had been altered.
No evidence of altering but no way to verify whether it had been altered.
A big fat nothing burger.

And thus, the RUSSIARUSSIARUSSIATAMPEREDWITHTHELAPTOP conspiracy theory is born.
Run with it. It's massively credible that the Russians broke into the computer repair shop and put all the naked crack selfies of Hunter on there. What can't AI do these days????

Let me make this easy for the simpler minds: THE EVIDENCE IS COMPROMISED.
BTW, Erika Jensen is a summary witness, she's not a cybersecurity agent.

Hilarious.
NOW it's whining about "compromised evidence"? LOL@it.
You know who would claim that everybody else was in a cult and was a Russian agent? A bot programmed in a Russian bot farm.

That's the truth, and it didn't have to be. Once the evidence chain is compromised by interested parties....

I'm still trying to figure out what the laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter has to do with his falsification of records and weapons charges.

And just to be clear, I fully expect Hunter to be found guilty on all three counts, based on some pretty solid evidence. I'm not in the courtroom, of course, but the evidence I've read about seems to pretty clearly show he's guilty.
I just don't see where this laptop fits into the evidence for these crimes.

Apologies for the late reply. Been very busy.
My original response was to Dope1’s claim that the FBI proved that Hunters laptop was clean. The facts are that the laptop wasn’t in his possession the whole time and the FBI agent admitted they couldn’t prove if it was clean or manipulated.
Also, I would like to remind everyone that the only people screaming Russia, Russia, Russia, are the right wingers on this board.
Occam's Razor has been providing answers to such questions for over 600 years.
My general philosophy is that the simplest answer is often the correct one and that there are usually no coincidences. So let’s examine 2 Occam’s Razor issues.
1) The election was stolen by Trump
Stealing the election means Biden is a criminal mastermind who manipulated the election (apparently only for himself) whithout leaving a trace of evidence that can be found after 4 years of investigating. Not 1 of over 60 cases has held up court. Not in state courts, not federal courts, not even the right wing SCOTUS. Not by judges nominated by Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama, or Trump. Not in blue states nor in deep red states. Not by voting machine companies (we have 750 million reasons to believe that). In fact, even in deep red state investigations, only 4 cases of convicted voter fraud were found. And they all involved someone trying to vote twice for Trump (none served time in jail but a black woman in Texas was sentenced to 5 years in jail for registering to vote). Also, Trumps own election expert said it was the cleanest election ever. And when the Teenage Mutant right wing group investigated Arizona votes, they found out Biden’s votes were undercounted. As an aside, every lawsuit brought by Trump to disqualify votes were brought in majority black districts. Coincidence?
So, despite the above facts, you can believe the election was stolen.
The simplest answer is that Trump just lost, fair and square.
Occam’s Razor.
2) Trump isn’t a felon, he was set up.
Ok, let’s look at some facts. Mind you, these are ONLY the felons in Trump’s circle:
-campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.
-campaign vice chairman, Rick Gates, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.
-personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.
-adviser and former campaign aide, Roger Stone, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.
adviser and former White House aide Peter Navarro, was charged, convicted, and is currently in prison.
campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.
-Trump Organization’s former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.
-White House national security advisor, Michael Flynn, was charged and convicted.
-chief strategist, Steve Bannon, was charged with wire fraud and money laundering, in addition to a conviction in a contempt case similar to Navarro’s.
Among other issues are:
-Two lawyers associated with Trump’s post-defeat efforts, Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell, have pleaded guilty to election-related crimes.
-And please, don’t get me started on Rudy.
-The former president’s business was itself found guilty of tax fraud.
-Trump has been found guilty of self-dealing (stealing) from his own charity.
-Trump is an adjudicated rapist.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Trump was found guilty of 34 felonies by a jury of his peers in a state court and 3 other cases are being stalled.
Give the facts above, Trump is innocent as an angel.
Or the simplest explanation is Trump is a criminal.
Occam’s Razor.

Hunter's laptop is real methinks, but what is on it is should be looked at critically with a high threshold. I am disappointed that the FBI didn't give it to pros, who might shed more light, but that's water under the bridge. There's so much crap out there about it, I skip it because it doesn't mean anything. Just like all the bogus charges that Hunter is the bag man for Joe. Y'all will believe anything anyway.
It's just a distraction away from the real big time criminal - Trump.

It's just a distraction away from the real big time criminal - Trump.
This.
Everything Trump's sycophants do is designed to distract from the real issue: Trump is a grifter, a con man, and now a convicted felon. He is unfit for any office, let alone the Presidency.
But they like him because they think he will give them some power. They can't - or won't - see that every person who has thought they could share some of that power has been unceremoniously dumped by the side of the road as soon as they were no longer useful to Trump. From ex-wives to his employees and contractors, all the way to his Vice President - the road side is filled with the human carnage of this man.
In the end, the con man continues to con and people still think they will be the exception to his well documented history of using and discarding people.
