WiltonKnight: It's not just Biden dressed in Reagan Drag.
The basic thrust of your linked article (not the scary headline you quoted) is this: the economy is roaring right now and states are flush with revenue: "Nearly every state saw its tax revenues exceed official estimates over the past two years."
Bidenomics, baby. Thanks, president Biden!
And as your article also says, the states that may be headed for "hard times" are those making their drastic, regressive tax cuts permanent, favoring the wealthy: But many states took what Davis characterized as "steps backward" by making deep, permanent cuts that will not only hold down state revenue for years to come, but mostly benefit upper income residents.
The states the article warns may be in for trouble are those with declining revenues: Iowa, Kentucky, and Mississippi.
But according to Brian Sigritz, director of state fiscal studies at the National Association of State Budget Officers, "I'd say overall states remain in a strong fiscal condition."
Thank that Dark Brandon guy, whydontcha.
