However, he is responsible for the response to Covid. And his response, by any measure, was abysmal.

Unless you are excited by the prospect of taking horse medicine or injecting bleach or sticking a light bulb up your anus.

I agree he is responsible for the response to Covid, and that it was abysmal in terms of public health.

But those abysmal responses had terrible public health impacts. They weren't the reason why the labor force collapsed between February and May of 2020.
