Is it possible for 2,3,4, maybe 5 reporters to press him on these blatant lies that come out of his mouth ?? It seems like there are NEVER any consequences for Trump being-a pathological liar. Why doesn't the Press go junkyard-dog on him. Pick one of his lies and question him on it, and not back down when tries to blame Biden, or matches the lie with another lie.

The only time I have seen that happen, and I applauded in my little living room, was when Nixon was in the late stages of Watergate. He was asked the question, deflected, and pivoted to another reporter. Who asked the same question, albeit with slightly different wording. He deflected again, and the next reporter did exactly the same thing.

It was a tour de force of what reporters should do, and in my entire life it’s the only time I can remember it being done. (Now Trump has stacked the reporters room with sympathetic, even sycophantic reporters, so he doesn’t even face any *actual* people to hold him to account.)

But it’s a nice fantasy.
