"Apparently accepting talks impasse,(Grand DealMaster) Trump says Israel will have to ‘get rid of’ Hamas
US president says terror group not interested in deal; echoing Witkoff, PM says Jerusalem weighing ‘alternative options’ to free hostages; 9 more people reportedly die from starvation."
So - can't negotiate with Putin, can't negotiate with Hamas, bring back the Houti so Trump can have a win. Gaza still starves, and you get killed going for food.
Winning. Ze Art of ze Deal.

Being a realist, I never thought he could end the war in Ukraine, nor broker a deal between Hamas and Israel, or anything of that sort. He was lying when he said it, and those lies have been revealed to, in fact, be lies. I don't think any POTUS could reasonably have been expected to do that. What annoys me is that he either a) knew he was lying, or b) was too stupid to realize he couldn't do what he claimed. Neither is good for a POTUS. And, apparently, a lot of voters were too stupid to realize a) or b).

I think he starts something, talks the big story, and hopes something falls out of the sky into his lap. He gets walked around by the other side, and stretched it out for Putin. He's got a short attention span it appears and doesn't know how to broker a long deal. If he wants to do that, he has to retain experienced negotiators and attempt to deal with Iran. I have no idea how to deal with Iran who's fronting Hamas.

Also, Trump will promise anything to anybody to win some votes.

True, that's a given. But I'm talking starting a negotiation. In RE he knows what he's doing, he's familiar, but these other negotiations he has to rely on other people, and he likes sycophants. I just cannot imagine what it would be like to deal with that. I see the NATO fellows and other fellows praising him in ways that appear grossly overstated, and that appears how you have to deal with him.

PS, I think no rational thinking person ever took his bragging hyperbole seriously, including me. He knew he was lying, but that's never bothered him ever. But it sure took him a while to figure out Putin was shining him on.
