I cringed when I heard Trump say that, it was a stupid thing to say, and he should not have said it. It was an unforced error, but worse was an opportunity missed to reach out the disaffected Rank and File Dems who mostly don't hate our country but suffer from lack of leadership.

Baloney. Hate is Trump’s MO. His calling card. His go-to red meat for his base.
It wasn’t an error at all. It was a deliberate choice.
