I was hoping that this year, Buffett would STRONGLY promote COKE ZERO or some other healthier Coke product, but he didn't. Opportunity lost.

And of course, Coca-Cola (KO) is a staple that would probably do very well in a recessionary and inflationary environment. It has a unique brand and pricing power and is the kind of product that would likely hold up well during a downturn.

Final Thoughts
All in all, I believe the latest 13-F shows evidence that Berkshire is indeed positioning for a 1970s-style environment. The latest purchases and sales confirm this, and with a large cash hoard, the company is well-positioned right now to take advantage of any downturn.
