"Speaking to reporters on an airport tarmac upon his arrival in Asheville, Trump said, “We’re looking at the whole concept of FEMA.”
“I like, frankly, the concept [that] when North Carolina gets hit, the governor takes care of it. When Florida gets hit, the governor takes care of it, meaning the state takes care of it,” he said.
“To have a group of people come in from an area that don’t even know where they’re going, in order to solve immediately a problem is something that never worked for me,” Trump said.
FEMA 'never worked' for a lying felonios rapist who inherited his fortune from his racist father?
Hilarious.

Oh...the states are gonna love that.
"Hey, DeSantis! Clean up your own hurricane mess!"
I would be surprised if more than one or two governors would be OK with that. Most places are prone to occasional natural disasters.

You are taking the extreme position there will no help from the Feds. That is not what Trump was talking about on the tarmac. But you had to watch the whole presser to hear the larger picture. Did your news sources provide you with that opportunity?

America once again has the dumbest leader in the world. Congrats we did it!
And on the bright side, yes, Pete Hegseth has abused many of the women he has interacted with, but he hasn’t abused all of them.

That is not what Trump was talking about on the tarmac.
He did say on that tarmac that he wished to see FEMA’s role diminished with aid disbursed by the White House.
Bit by bit, he’s laying the groundwork for using the resources of the federal government to smash whoever opposes him.

Probably, if I asked it of them. I was responding to the missive on this board. If I post a news story myself, I've read it and often double-checked it against other sources. If I'm responding to someone here, I may or may not do that depending one what the topic is. In this case, what was posted was a comment that states should handle their own disasters. I simply responded to that statement.
