Today is the day of the special election to fill the seat of former MN State Rep Melissa Hortman, who was murdered by right-wing extremists.
From 2022 to 2024, all 61 political killings in the U.S. were committed by right-wing extremists, as documented by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

She was murdered by a single right-wing extremist.
From 2022 to 2024, all 61 political killings in the U.S. were committed by right-wing extremists, as documented by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
Seems an oddly specific time period.
Fuller quote from the article:
The Anti-Defamation League found that from 2022 through 2024, all of the 61 political killings in the United States were committed by right-wing extremists. That changed on the first day of 2025, when a Texas man flying the flag of the Islamic State group killed 14 people by driving his truck through a crowded New Orleans street before being fatally shot by police.
“You’re seeing acts of violence from all different ideologies,” said Jacob Ware, a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations who researches terrorism. “It feels more random and chaotic and more frequent.”
It does, and it isn't just one side. Radicalizing is happening on the political right, political left, religious and with just a hodge-podge mix of incoherent beliefs.

It's good you have people to document it.
Political violence is going to be a new growing thing in your country.
When it isn't a news event...you'll know what I meant.

I find it showcases one parties dominance in radicalization over a significant time period. YMMV.
i.e.
The Oklahoma Sooners 47-game winning streak from 1953 to 1957. (Seems an oddly specific time period.)
The New York Yankees winning 11 straight postseason series starting in 1998.
The Boston Celtics claiming 8 consecutive NBA titles from 1959 to 1966.
The republican party committing 61 political killings in a row from 2022 to 2024.

The republican party committing 61 political killings in a row from 2022 to 2024.
That number does NOT include their SUCCESSFUL attempts in 2025.
That number does NOT include their FAILED attempts in any year.
So 61 is a "known-LOW" count of the killings by Republican'ts DID SUCCESSFULLY ACCOMPLISH.

“The republican party committing 61 political killings in a row from 2022 to 2024.”
Individual extremists and/or mentally ill people have committed politically motivated murders.
I really don’t understand what you’re getting at. Are you suggesting the Republican Party has organized murders?

Just read this piece by Sam Harris and thought it worth sharing:
We Are Losing the Information War with Ourselves
https://samharris.substack.com/p/we-are-losing-the...“ There is no “party of murder” in this country. And insisting that there is just adds energy to yet another moral panic. ”
Exactly.

Clarity is a virtue we all need to cultivate during these stressful times, and your post is a needed reminder of that.
