Doesn't really fit neatly on US Policy. Doesn't really fit neatly here. I figure this board is a bit quieter, so I'll put it here.
A restaurant in St Louis isn't allowing anyone admittance under the age of 30 (females...males have to be 35). I picked up on the potential problem instantly: sex discrimination. And that's what St Louis authorities are noticing also. You can make a minimum age uniform, but not have one age for males and one for females.
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/12/dining/restaura...I really like the concept, though. The idea that you can go someplace and not be subjected to parents too cheap to spring for a baby sitter, or boisterous 20-somethings having a good time (very loudly), etc.
I suspect they will have to adjust the age thing to comply with the law, but it sounds like a cool place to go.
