Ok, so you want to continue to put money in the pockets of Woke Corporations whose executive and higher level 401K'ers are against you. Which is their RIGHT but they put their beliefs into action via these entities.
And then you gave tax breaks to voters who - are typical 401K'ers here on this board and TMF.
No tax on tips? Nice - I like it - it is a win if it happens.
Bigger child credit? Ok nice - but really- nothing earth shattering there.
Once they spent the child credit and realize that anything from their ACA health plan, or medicaid, is being squeezed, the extra tattoos they bought aren't gonna be great political capital.
In the meantime, we're letting sissy Mary Europe and Thieving wanabee-power China catch up on science, medical break thrus, etc.

If I understand you correctly (not a slam, but your writing style is difficult for me to follow sometimes), I agree with a lot of this. I don't know about "Woke Corporations". Corporations are sociopathic entities. They just care about the bottom line, and don't really care who gets hurt along the way. Frankly, it's not their job to care. Their job is to enrich shareholders (and, hence, it's government's job to rein them in so they don't abuse workers, etc).
The "tax on tips" thing is largely a red herring. If you're in a tipped job, you likely don't earn enough to pay any taxes at all, or very little. The standard deduction would get all your withhold back (most likely...there may be some unique situation).
Child credit is nice.
Totally agree that slashing research funding is going to bite us. Our enemies (especially China) certainly aren't doing that.
Tax cuts for billionaires (and/or continuing his tax cuts from his first term) is just stupid.
I know you rejoice in the stupidity of voters. But I will go so far as to say that people get the government they deserve. (somebody famous said it before me)
