The right knows they screwed the pooch when their anti-abortion dog caught the SCOTUS car. It's motivating young voters, females, RINOs, indies like nobody has ever seen.
What to do if you're a QOP strategist? Create a new cause du jour, an enemy of America around which you can rally the 'vangies, the deplorables, racists, bigots, MAGAts.
Et, Voila: TRANS PEOPLE ARE COMING TO GROOM YOUR CHILDREN! LGBTQTABCXYZ IS THE ENEMY!! PRONOUNS ARE A CHINESE PLOT TO DESTROY AMERICA!!
Bigots were ordered to boycott one of their traditional brewskis. What could be a stronger statement of hatred than boycotting a brew that's a fave of the hard-workin' American man?
But uh oh.... Turns out somebody forgot to 'follow the money' before loading the USS Bigot with anti-pronoun warheads.
SS Bigot, this is your XO speaking...... ""So here's the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally sh*t the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I'm not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this..... "When I actually look into it, I'm not gonna blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell."
All engines full astern! Prepare to deploy lifeboats for all that Bud Lite in warehouses.

Two entirely different audiences. The pro-choice crowd and the MAGA crowd don't overlap a lick, except possibly for two odd people in Utah. What the issues will do is motivate people to come to the polling station, but I think it's clear that the MAGA crowd is already gonna do what it's gonna do, and the choice issue has motivated an entirely new segment of voters for that issue.
Hundreds of thousands of new voters registered following the SCOTUS Roe decision, and among 18-29 it was listed as the most important issue by almost 80% of them. (Older Americans, the Fox News set, listed inflation as most important.)
On a more granular level, in the states where there was a clear issue on the ballot or between competing gubernatorial candidates, the swing and turnout for the issue were evident. Overall it was the 2nd highest turnout of youth vote in 50 years, in several of the states it was the highest.
Yes, the anti-abortion crowd is the dog that caught the car and no has no idea what to do with it. Trying to change the conversation only works with the people they can reach, and that's not most conservative media.
