Interesting piece in the NYT. Apparently, when surveying black people about political affiliation, roughly 75% say they are Democrats when interviewed in-person by non-black people, or online. But when interviewed by black persons, they claim about 90% Democrat. The conclusion is that there is peer pressure from an in-person interview of a black person by a black person.

Just another variable to consider when looking at surveys and polls.

I wonder how one can conduct an accurate poll since so many things can affect the results. We already know about how questions were phrased, and that some people of a particular leaning may be less likely to answer at all, and many other variable. Now we have to factor in who was asking the questions.
