I didn't expect a long suffering INTC position to become this exciting.

It was a good idea and timely to shift to the foundry model.

A) sell, b) they’re still losing money.

That was my advice to my investing Signal group. A spike like that is truly head-scratching.

There’s some medium good news, but a deal with Apple isn’t going to turn them into Taiwan Semiconductor.

That's the value of this forum, in a nutshell. I posted that message because had my doubts (a number of them unspoken) in my first message. It's better to sell shovels in a gold rush, but that doesn't mean it is a good long term business, either. I can't imagine production capacity won't increase, leaving semis/foundries with yet another supply glut. $.6T is a lot of market cap to grow into.
