He should rig it so foreign countries sell off your debt ----the day after he leaves office.


On a side note, whoever is content to lend you people money...... is an idiot. It'd be like finding the biggest dyfunctional trailer park slash ghetto and saying "yeah. I'm gonna lend them money and i'm sure i'll get it back"

I agree. I wouldn't buy a US government bond. No way. The Felon has overseen the first credit rating decrease in my lifetime (if not forever). I wouldn't be surprised if he decided that all government debt instruments are null and void because that "will reduce the national debt". It would be catastrophic, but so are the tariffs (which he still thinks are a good idea).

US government bonds are supposed to be the safest investment in the world. But with MAGA and the Felon achieving power, we are simply too unpredictable (IMHO) to be considered a "safe haven". We're erratic and incompetent.

Before Trump - the debt was still nasty --- and human capital and culture was still in decline. YES, he's made it worse but I think the TrailerParkGhetto America, was not a wise credit risk.


And won't be after Trump is gone.


Mind you in 1992 and 1996 I voted for someone who called for "fair shared sacrifice" and said 'fix it while we're still strong'. And it meant draconian tax HIKES and nasty spending cuts for EVERYBODY.


10% chance ---a true Centrist Dem wins, and has the skill to bring some Red Senators into the fold, and they dust off things like Simpson Bowles and maybe launch things like that.

But 90% - nope. Payday loan places are better bets..... ;)
