Bondi Tightens Trump’s Grip on D.C. Police and Names ‘Emergency’ Commissioner

Attorney General Pam Bondi rescinded local Washington policies that restricted the police from helping with immigration enforcement. She also named an “emergency police commissioner,” with “all the powers and duties” invested in the city’s police chief.

At the same time:

The Trump administration has taken steps that have hobbled Washington’s efforts to reduce crime, such as gutting its U.S. attorney’s office and enacting budget cuts of more than $1 billion.

First time at Union Station this morning since Trump’s crime crackdown and there wasn’t a single crazy person screaming, vagrant or person doing drugs. Instead, lots of families visiting D.C. Wonderful!!!
