I’m guessing most of you have not heard of Diana Butler Bass- church historian, progressive theologian and preacher.

And probably “many” of that “most” will pass up the link I provide below. It’s scripture and a sermon she prepared for this morning- based on a passage from Luke that is in the lectionary and suggested as a preaching text for today.

Coincidentally, I preached on the same text today, but her sermon is the better one.

Anyway- if you have an extra five minutes or so, take a look at a sermon that takes seriously the teachings of Jesus.
