Trump says he got his inspiration for his military parade by watching a military parade in France honoring Bastille Day.

But the thing he neglected to notice was the same thing he neglected to notice when he attended the Kennedy Center’s production of Les Mis last week.

Both the military parade in France and Les Mis honored a series of events in France that overthrew a tyrant and put a severe dent in the plans of France’s elite.

The French Revolution also led directly to the reign of Napoleon, which visited further depredations on the French people, and that’s the part of the story we on the left need to remember, and avoid.
