Not a great look for whom?

The article clearly says that the power supply was supposed to be a temporary arrangement which has been repeatedly extended, but the Calif utility has failed to find an alternative. Seems they are an unfortunate victim of geography and a poor interstate electricity grid regulatory system, not one of callousness on part of NV Energy.

Fortune is sourcing a nonprofit for this story and makes it out to be much worse than it is.

The local power utility has a new transmission link that connects Tahoe with more of the CalISO. Previously, there was no connection so they relied on NV Energy. The construciton of the new transmission link was expected and so was the change of wholesale power relationship. That's why they build the link.

Ah Ok, apparantly my reading comprehension is off today. I was figuring it was a bad look for Berkshire, but I guess I missed some details.
