LOL how naive does a person have to be to think the GOP really changed their stance on abortion? They haven't. What happened was that Donald Trump recognized the GOP's stance on abortion was hurting the party so he got his people to revise the platform statement. That statement is a useful as Trump's promises to have Mexico pay to build a wall, or to replace the healthcare system with something better.
What you are clueless about is that Donald Trump will tell you whatever it is you want to hear. What he (and the GOP) actually DO is something completely different.

No, it's dishonest pandering and lying. Based on his history, Trump will allow the anti-abortion agencies, the christian evangelists, and ultra-rich to further their goals, even as he tells the public he wouldn't do it himself.
Whether he does it himself or facilitates his base it's essentially the same thing; abortion gets eliminated, LGBTQ people lose their rights, the rich get richer, christian schools get funded and public schools get 'christianized' with tax dollars.
