Dementia is not a natural occurrence and, thankfully rare. You confuse relatives (like an ex-wife) with other people (like someone you raped). Your family and friends are worried about it, but you’re not.

Well, but since Hur was nominated by the convicted felon rapist to be the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, he's hardly a neutral observer.

Biden's reputation, going back as far as his senate days, is that he is reliably wrong about every foreign policy position he takes. Then there is Obama's reported summary assessment of Biden along the lines of "Never underestimate Joe's ability to f*** something up."

Now, now...if you are in the cult and believe that Trump is the second coming of Christ, then you can believe that Joan Rivers could somehow have voted for him from beyond the grave and then appeared to Trump and told him about voting for him. MAGA is a weird world.

IANAL, but Trump could possibly end all of his legal woes if he submitted to an assessment, and then allowed his lawyers to plead diminished capacity. The assessment would be necessary as proof of said diminished capacity, which I'm pretty sure would be found (I already posted about seeing dementia first-hand).
Though I'm not sure how much diminished capacity would be required. He isn't as far gone as my mother was before she died, but he's definitely on the path (IMO). Is it enough to be judged incompetent to stand trial? Could his lawyers use that (against his will) to protect him from himself?

No, I think if you look back you'll find that Hur stated that when Biden noted seeing classified documents the one time he wasn't VP or in an office where he was entitled to see classified documents, that the jurors would view it as a forgettable event, and that he made an innocent mistake and didn't act willfully. Biden had no intent to break the law.
Whereas, with Trump, we can see him deliberately causing classified documents to be moved and hidden from inspecting authorities sent to retrieve classified documents, misleading authorities, intent on keeping classified documents in violation of subpoenas, etc. Total disrespect for the law. Trump's actions show his criminal intent.
