The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

See it's not all bad.

While this story isn't new, it is "news" for the Bubble Dwellers.

cnbc.com - EV euphoria is dead automakers trumpet consumer choice in US

"EV euphoria is dead. Automakers are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans"

"Automakers from Ford Motor and General Motors to Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans.
Though consumer demand for EVs hasn’t shown up in the way executives had expected, sales of the vehicles are still predicted to increase in the years to come.
A broad return to a more mixed offering of vehicles — with lineups of gas-powered vehicles alongside hybrids and fully electric options — assumes an all-electric future at a much slower pace, and it calls attention to ambitious EV targets set for the years ahead."

Certainly EV is on the map now - thanks to Elon Musk - you know, Elon Musk, that guy. That ignorant uneducated man who is helping his companies flee your crappy punishment-ridden Caliphornia.

BUT, this is what you got, for your policy of trying to hurt middle class consumers and oil workers.

You ClueLess Bubble Sheeple gave $7,500 to upper income white people .....and here you are. Gas Guzzlers carry the day. And a few (Stellantis) pocketed some battery money too before laying some Americans off -- gee I wonder who they'll vote for huh?

So here you are now.

You and Harris and Halliburton and Cheney - drill baby drill, frack baby frack.

"Baaaaaa. free market" is all you can muster.

Yeah, some of us told you that before blowing the money on it.

The good part: Punishment. More oil. More prosperity for oil workers, oil executives, Big Oil, Exxon, Chevron, and their top 1% CEOs.

Gives you the warm and fuzzies doesn't it?
