Trump has been spewing hate speech laced with an increasing amount of profanity at his rallies : shithole countries, Congo, rapists, gangs, murderers, rapists, etc.
Ever notice Trump never denigrates Russian/East European gangsters? Could it be because they're white ?
After a lineup of speakers spewed hate, bigotry, racist garbage for hours to an adoring audience at MSG, the Trumpists are trying to gaslight the world into apologizing for calling that garbage for what it is - garbage.
It's a tactic MAGA uses repeatedly: 1) spewing crap on the dais, reveling in that crap in the audience, and then complaining loudly when they are accurately described as being crappy.
2) Trump cult likes to make vile jokes and then gaslight people who call those jokes vile. It's a method of desensitizing people to the vileness in the jokes, whether it's racist humor, bigot humor, sexist humor.....

When I was a kid in the 1950s this was how a lot of racism was spread: asinine jokes, the whole point of which was to make African Americans seem stupid and inferior. As a kid I didn't get the real point of it, but those jokes had a way of spreading racism, something it took me a while to understand.
Now I cannot understand how good people, like most of the Republicans on this board, can possibly vote for a POS like Trump. It's all phony grievance and hatred stoked by right wing media and right wing politicians.

Yep. The tactic now includes accusing those who take offense to vile jokes of "having no sense of humor," or "being woke" or "Being too sensitive."
I had a real cringey reaction for a while to the popularity of wehrmacht helmets and swastikas in surf culture. The term 'surf nazis was popular for a while. Still hear it. Still don't like it. I suppose that's the Trump element that pollutes the surf these days. Yeah, it's out there.
