Interesting premise. Apparently Hawking, before he died, realized his book wasn't correct. He and a grad student set about trying to fix the theory (or replace it). This is in the form of an interview.

The laws of our universe's evolution, the standard laws of physics, close themselves; they cease to be. Physics itself disappears.
