Stocks A to Z / Stocks T / Tesla (TSLA)
No. of Recommendations: 1
Would like to open Nostalgia for Infinity, please.
Was meant to be a new board on TMF and then they made their board changes and it was lost in time...like tears in the rain.
Would be used for my stocks and market ponderings, pop culture ratings on books/shows/movies, and a general diary of my worldview at that moment in time and space. Maybe an occasional mediocre poem.
Let me know, thanks!

Let me know, thanks!I'm definitely open to creating this board, but first can you please use the related boards and then if you build a history of posting regularly,
and those boards are not sufficient, I can create the dedicated board.
You wrote this description:
Would be used for my stocks and market ponderings- You can visit the stock board.. Type the stock symbol in the lower-left corner of each page, and post away.
pop culture ratings on books/shows/movies- There a book review board (and movies are welcome there) at
https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?bid=120.. and a general diary of my worldview at that moment in time and space. Maybe an occasional mediocre poem. The Atheist board is exactly an "anything goes" board, so suitable for these subjects.
https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?bid=117Having focussed/specific boards is important, but we also want to have sufficient volume per board for the interest momentum (critical mass) to build. You may have a larger audience for your posts by posting to the above boards - they will love to read your posts.

I have been posting to TMF since 1999.
Currently have my own board there, but tired of that format. "Where Angels Fear to Tread".

Not really clear what you mean.
Most of the existing stock boards here have no posts.
If I decided to post about TMUS, it would be like me shouting in a desert.
But if I have a series of stocks of interest, those can more quickly develop interaction because some people would be interested in some of the stocks and others in some of the other stocks.
Not to mention I usually like to list out Earnings dates and discuss some of the results. How some stocks in a cohort do can obviously impact others, etc...
No worries. This is your place and I will respect that. But if you are trying to replicate the old TMF a lot of us liked, then you are missing out on the stock discussions that often took place on Sauls, or NPI, my board, Champ's (Mongoose/Artic) and others. I see Falling Knives and others, but they appear to already have specific themes.

It isn't as dry as it looks. If you make a good analytical "first post" on any company board, guarantee it will have a lot of views.
Ultimatespinach recently posted on the "LUMN" board and it received 7 recs, and there were 6 recs prior to it becoming the Post of the Week.
There are two ways that people will find your posts when made on a new board:
1. There is the "New boards being explored" link on the "All Boards" page.
2. People who follow you will see and enjoy your posts no matter which board it is. When they click "Followed Shrewds" from the main menu they will see all of your posts across all boards at Shrewd'm.
You can also add this:
3. Post a link to your 'first post' on the Berkshire board (if value oriented observations) or the Falling Knives board (if there is a lot of quote changing action) or the Mechanical Investing board (if the analysis is very quantitative) to get a bit of momentum.

I tend to cover a mix of growth stocks, value, and contrarian falling knives plays. And also speak thoughts on macro environment.
By my count, i would have to split my thoughts here among 5-6 boards, not counting ind atock boards.
The value of one board is those thought and threads are captured in one place.
I can recruit from tmf and other mssg boards if I have a board to point to. Up to you.
Enjoy the weekend,

Hi Manlobbi,
I made a good faith effort on long ESPR post and a few other posts sprinkled about, but as feared it is me largely shouting in a desert.
Thoughts on allowing the new Nostalgia for Infinity board, so I can help you ramp up engagement on Shrewd'm?
thanks!
