I know the electoral college method put the thumb on the scale for the less populated states during Presidential elections and I live with that. We are a Republic ( a representative Democracy). But when you combine that with Gerrymandering, and various methods of voter suppression (thoroughly researched and continually reinvented) denied by the party in power I have to ask the question - Exactly what are we? Are we still a Democracy? Are there comparable anti democracy tactics being used in other democracies? I don't recall ever reading about voter suppression in France,Britain, Germany, Norway,, Sweden, etc. Have I just missed it? You have the floor. :)

Breaking News: A New York appeals court ordered the state's congressional map redrawn. The decision, if upheld, could allow Democrats to shift as many as six Republican-held seats in their direction.
