Is it just me?
Login status and posts read color (greyed out) are not persistent between browser sessions.
To be clear.. when I close a browser session I am logged out automatically and with a new session, it's as if I haven't read a post on any board.

I have double-checked and I cannot repeat that, so it might be idiosyncratic/rare/weird-browser-behaviour.
Technically, the URL (particular details in the URL parameters) to view posts is identical whether logged in or not. So it definitely won't change between logged in and not logged in. I also cannot make them change between two login sessions (closing browser completely, re-opening), and browsers don't normally to that. Test condition: Close the browser completely, restart it, and log in again - I have the same greyed out links as before.
BTW: Grey links (visits colour) only appear for board posts themselves. I keep all the other links (top menu, etc) always the same blue for aesthetics.

I'm getting it, too. My login status is also not retained between sessions - each time I open the browser window, I have to log in again.
Post read/unread color persists between sessions, though.

This is a known behaviour, and will remain off my short-term list. I will implement that further down.

That was what the actual thread is about, and you are confirming what I'm seeing - there no known problem.

I have double-checked and I cannot repeat that, so it might be idiosyncratic/rare/weird-browser-behaviour.Update: I have tested this behavior on two laptops running Windows 10, one laptop dual boots with Linux Mint 21.1. The OS and browsers are up to date.
OS Browser Grey/read Grey/new session
Linux Brave yes no
Linux Firefox no no
Windows Brave yes no
Windows Firefox yes no
Windows Edge yes yes
So, I guess it's just me unless I use the Microsoft Edge browser which I am loath to do. Thanks for looking into this.
