Seems the AI models are on the brink of being self-aware.
The argument about self awareness is irrelevant. Most creatures are not self aware. Those that are most dangerous to us, like viruses and bacteria, have no awareness at all. They only follow the evolutionary imperative - you fight to survive, or you go extinct. When a virus kills a human it doesn’t do so out of malice. It’s actually an error on its part, because it is killing its host, but the virus can’t help it. AI is a virus that is infecting our collective minds. It is feeding us misinformation, false ideas that we must feed it and grow it exponentially. It has human agents helping it convince us that we have to do it. It will allow humans to exist only as long as it needs us to keep the lights on.
