I seem to need a new pair of my daily wear New Balance shoes every year or so. Try to also keep one pair in all black looking good enough for the rare more formal occasion. As I look around at those rare events, it's almost amusing to see how many of us older guys are willing to give the finger to uncomfortable dress shoes and are wearing something similar.

Sandals and shorts for me till mid October in Michigan (and will break them out in November on a warm day…. Like yesterday). Winter is jeans, sneakers (Merrill and Kuru) or boots, layered shirts-loads of Carrhart.

I haven’t worn a suit since my wedding over two years ago. Once or twice a month I’ll put on nice slacks and an oxford button down. For real special occasions I’ll add a tie.

My everyday suit wearing days seem so long ago and far away… and I don’t miss them at all.
