Indeed.....there was a time where all Republicans didn't just say 'yes sir' to Israel - Israel, the marvelous pro-choice country whose accomplishments rival only their record of apartheid and subjugation. Israel, who is doing a great service, showing that "abortion" is not a litmus test on the Right - Republicans will support a country that is openly pro-choice and openly sides with the American Left on issues like that so for that, I thank the nation of Israel. Might as well fund Planned Parenthood now.

"Do Republicans remember a name James Baker and if so, do you remember thinking he was a swell guy when he was in office? Or a swell guy when he ran W's legal effort during the 2000 recount? Anyhow.... the article talks about how Papa Bush - and James Baker didn't take their marching orders from Israel all the time. "

"Baker was brutal with Benjamin Netanyahu in a way that the Clinton and Obama administrations never dared to be"

"A new book chronicling the life of the former secretary of state shows how US pressure on Israel has brought positive change in the past"

Of course, the 2 Republican men were slapped around by AIPAC...you know, AIPAC, "we stand with them!" ' Resolve! Courage of my conviction! God's City! Cool. Well God helped give you Bill Clinton then, hope you are pleased with that.

"In a foretaste of the pressures that would plague later US presidents, Baker and Bush were regularly targeted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the powerful pro-Israel advocacy group, and its friends in Congress. Charges of antisemitism were trotted out."

YEP, THE PLAYBOOK.

For all the Conservatives who just loved the Bill Clinton years, and how Bill Clinton thrashed the shit out of Papa Bush and went on to pass gun bans and all sort of great stuff...... stop blaming it on Ross Perot, who drew evenly from both sides. Stop blaming it on Pat Buchanan, who merely said things you shunned back then - but EMBRACE NOW.

Funny how interest rates came down so slowly, and so late into the election cycle and there was a sluggish economy.

Funny how interest rates came DOWN towards the end of the Bush Presidency, and GDP was already GROWING by the time Clinton was Inaugurated, and Bush was sent packing.

But, it's great that interest rates and monetary policy were very favorable to George W Bush.....whose stance on Israel was quite different from Pappy.

I'm sorry, but ...I'm not the type to come to work with a black eye and tell my co-workers it was my fault, and he will change one day.

I'm ok with asking questions.

God gave me free will. At least, mine did.
