Not from the US. Based on changes in US policy, they felt the need to arm-up. Which is a joke, if they plan to repel us (the aircraft aren't even a match for F4 Phantoms, much less something we'd use today like an F22 or F35). But it is just another reaction to the chaos coming from the USA.

F35s have not been ruled out, but it does look like Trump fickleness is going to cost us some jobs for people who like to work with their hands.

Yep. If you're not reliable, sensible people won't rely upon you. If you can't be certain you will get spare parts for your F35s, you're probably not going to buy any. You'll look to the Brits or French for your fighters.

This is going to bite hard. A lot of people work in defense industries, and nations not buying our stuff is going to be very bad for them. Expect layoffs in that sector relatively soon.
