Tell them that Trump killed the best immigration bill they could hope for. Sheesh.

Of course, my buddy is not going to see it that way.
He's going to expect a Republican majority and presidency to finally get the job done right in 2025, instead of some "liberal compromise".
And if it happens (not likely) it's not going to be anything we like.

(He's also going to ask why we waited until the election year to try to do anything about it - a valid point IMO).

But, yeah. What's (not) done is (not) done. Think good thoughts.

The Biden admin got a lot of good stuff done (see Guardian article upthread).
