Not the most difficult of predictions.

I'm not condoning what happened by any stretch, but with Trump's constant stream of inflammatory and divisive vitriol, he's basically been asking for this (and more, like Jan. 6) for his whole time in the political spotlight.

He's been inciting his own supporters to violence (the ones that are predisposed toward it), and guess what? He's also incited violence-predisposed supporters on the other side. It's a double-edged sword.

Where do we go from here? Yes, God help us.

Ive actually been abroad a few weeks and with time differences, other activities been lax at checking headlines.

Just now I was in the bathroom and as usual pulled up Drudge just to see the days headlines and I was indeed shocked.

I was pleased the ol' man seemed to be ok.

But yes sir, it was only a matter of time.

And what worries me more? Is that now someone might try the same thing to the other guy (I can't even write it, I can't bear to even think of it).

Yeah, it's happening and sadly it's only a start.

I still say that one day fistfights in the Capitol will be somewhat frequent.

Assassination attempts between local politicians - somewhat normal and not worthy of breaking news status.

Anyhow I've only known about this 10 minutes or so now and saw a few related items.

Glad the President is ok, and also very thankful and proud that my current President responded with grace ---and absolute sincerity.
