...stage of the destruction of democracy.

Well, civil liberty wasn't going to destroy itself, dontchaknow.

Following in the footsteps of Russia, Hungary, Georgia, and elsewhere, the Trumpedo administration plans to stigmatize, harass, and criminalize NGOs to destroy democratic debate and freedom.

I'm not saying so, Stephen Miller and JD Vance are saying so.

MILLER: “We are gonna channel all the anger we have over the organized campaign to led to this assassination to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks ... we are going to use every resource we have at the DOJ, Homeland Security and throughout this government to dismantle and destroy these networks."

Umm, the Mormons?

VANCE: "There's no unity with people who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers...Soros' OSF and the Ford Foundation...benefit from generous tax treatment...How do they reward us? By setting fire to the house built by the American family."

Well, umm, sure, da' Joos.

Buckle up, folks, these guys are both batchit crazy and evil.

...and the Ford Foundation..

Two of the educational endeavors that Henry Ford provided an endowment for, were the Henry Ford museum and Greenfield Village, in Dearborn, MI.

Over the last couple years, a house has been moved from Selma, Alabama, to Greenfield Village. The house is important because the owners, and many people who traveled through the house, were active in the civil rights movement, in the 60s. I was in the Village for an event a week ago, and took a couple pix, over the fence, of the nearly reassembled house. Why? I rather expect that Trump's whitewashing of US history will result in a phone call to the Museum and Village administration, telling them their charitable tax exempt status will be revoked, unless the house is torn down and the materials destroyed.

Fortunately, I stopped donating to the Red Cross and MSF some years ago, in expectations of "retribution" like this. But MSF, which has been objecting to Israeli operations in Gaza, still sends me entreaties, so I have not dropped off their mailing list yet.
